Got this lovely small card and lots of goodie from Ivy. She is very generous in giving small gifts to me this year. I love her decorated envelop with some snowflakes stamps. Lovely

Christmas card 2009 #2

Rush, rush, rush...

Finally there are out for mailing last Tuesday.
I understand that it might not reach US on time. But at least I sent them all out.

The above was the initial snowman card that I made, I felt something is still missing until I added a piece of gold card on top of it and it looks more pretty now.

One of my favorite card of this year. I love the small card on the envelop. The red background of the card I make from recycle paper and and it looks great. My friend told me it looks more like a Chinese new year card. What do you think??

Cards

Its been a long time I didn't crafts. Was busy on my new shop on market new products. Was abit free yesterday and manage to compete this 2 cards.

I use stamps from Hero Arts, and Penny Black and another brand I brought from 1-Utama and I must say Penny Black stamps are so great. They are so cute and detail on all their lines. Beautiful.

Some simple design I made this time, without butterfly this time, but still added the flowers... I love adding them on my cards.

Been to the yoga every once in a week. I feel more healthy as my shoulder are not as tired as before. I will move my target to going to yoga twice a week. For those who want a more heathly life style, try going to yoga classes. It helps.

Bookmark exchange and laptop sleeve

Its been quite a while that I didn't make things with paper. This time I joined NNC bookmark exchange, so I took out my card making things and make these cards.

I was addicted on those flowers and butterfly emblishments recently. Almost all my cards are make from them. The only difference are how I arrange them and different pattern paper I mix and match with it. I added some laces to my card this time. On the right of the image. I tried to make something different. The background of the card was made from scraps of fabrics that I left. The scraps fabrics are too beautiful to be thrown away to the bin. So I keep them and here they are, in a bookmark for the swap.

Actually the swap only needed 2 cards, but i did additional one more for an online friend. She will be getting them soon.

At the weekends, I manage to sew the laptop sleeve a customer. Sorry for the delay anyway

It seems that I have alot ideas on mind, I just to lazy to take all my supplies out and crafting and then keep them when I need to sleep at night. There is no proper place for me to do crafting and I just use the living room. And everytime I start crafting, I will mess up the whole living area. I just wish I have a room in future

Mobile phone case and card swap

Was addicted in sewing this colorful mobile phone pouch at the weekends. See how many of them I created just at a beautiful sunday. I love to match the inner fabric with the exterior fabric, buttons and the ribbon to suit each pouch. For more closer look on each pouch, visit the shop and get them before it runs out.

NNC card swap that I made. Got inspiration from my previous birdly lace necklace that I make. After I completed I was wondering to post it or not? To remake or not? Thinking will it be too colorful? Will it be too messy?? What do you think?

Thinking of You

A card that I made last week for a friend at Penang.

Actually I promise to send her my handmade slice cake earings as a birthday gift. She came to visit me on her birthday during chinese new year, and I was bad that I forgotten about it until her boyfriend told me about it. Bad of me.

Thats why I decided to made another card for her. She loves design and craft things like these too. Just that she is to busy with her work and business.
I made this card from another handcarve girl stamps from Ivy - I just love her stamps. The background of the card is actually from a gift paper that I brought it someday ago. Added some lace, ribbon, rick rac, flowers, geams. I later added the red butterfly between and butterfly background and it looks cute. Not that empty I think.

Purple and White Card Swap (sent)

The theme for the second card swap is purple and white. I try to use as much things that I brought recently. I love the color combinations and I think this is the most lovely card that I did so far.
The small girl stamps are handcarve stamps from Ivy.I have used paper pattern, purple colors paper, heart buttons, paper flowers are those I brought from Spotlight.(Aileen, here is how to use the paper flowers.) I tried the lacey stamp for the first time and emboss with clear embossing powder. "Thinking of You" stamps, flower brads and flower ribbons from my ribbons slash.

Hope my partner will love it.

Here are some more Chinese New Year Cards that I made. This year, both of my brothers are not coming back for Chinese New Year. I made them some and sent the rest to my friends.

First Card Swap from Yahoo Groups

This is my first card swap that I join at Yahoo groups - Paper crafts for Malaysia and Singapore Chinese. The coordinator Ying, sent us the supplies and we need to made a card from all her supplies. We can add other items, but limited to 3 only.

I made this long time ago. Just that I didn't post it up until my partner received it. Here is what I made. I enjoy coloring the girl and she looks more and more pretty the more I look at here. Background I use embossing clear on "love" stamps. And the pink gems I added to made some spark. I love the pattern paper so much. Both sides are very beautiful and I love the color theme.

Here is what I received from my partner - Payyeek. Same supplies we get, but yet every one have different style and ways to decorate the card.

Christmas Card #3

Handmade Christmas not by me this time, but from a kind friend - Gianni. She made this card from her handcarve present stamps and her stamps that she brought from Art Friend in our gathering. The present stamps looks like printed materials.

Birds ATC Recieved

Been going back early due to the internet connection at my new office haven't set up yet. You know la, telekom drag and drag. Finally able to snaps picture the Birds ATC that I recieved from my the group. Here are what I sent. Everyone have her own styles on creating ATC. It was very happy and excited when I see letters lying on my mail box.

Christmas card #2

Another creation of Christmas card that I sent to a friend from Taiwan to thank her for her Precious moments ATC gift that she sent. I use all from my handcarve stamps and do clear embossing. Couldn't see too well from this picture as I took them at night.Read more on my handmade christmas card #1 here.

Bird ATC (Sent)

Second round of ATC Swap at Cari. This time the theme is Birds. Owl are included in the category of bird too.

I wanted to have different try on my birds atc, but abit lazy to think 8 different design, so I did 4 design. Each design 2. Some of the 2 design are not so similiar.

I actually recieved all my ATC from my partners. But night time is too dark to snap pictures on it. Will snap pictures at the weekend.

Say it Stamps

Brought the day before I meet Agnes and Gianni. All Night Media Say it with Stamps. There are rubber stamps, just that there are mounted with foam and I need to stick the sticker myselfs to each individual stamps. 19 design for only RM45.90 at Art Friend, the Gardens. I think it is cheaper compare to rubber stamps or clear stamps.Paper stump per pack of 12 for RM3.50. I enjoy using them in the last Birdy ATC from a small gift from Geamys. Plus border corner punch for RM28.90. Still have a hard time controling it.

Daddy's Birthday Card

Daddy birthday is this month. I try to make a birthday card for him. I use my new clear stamps Single Scroll as background and a handcarve owl and rows of house and tree stamp. I also try to use the silks flowers that I brought and it really looks good with some glitter glue. Happy birthday ribbons was added in the card. Hope my dad will like it.

Precious Moment ATC

Got these lovely ATC + postcard + handcarve stamped paper from Ivy last friday. The Precious Moment stamps was just so lovely and very detail stamp. She added some of her handcarve stamped paper for me too. I can see how details her carving was and it will be a good learning curve for me.

Flower ATC (Received)

Here is the flower ATC that I sent and the above is what I receive from 5 partners. One partner was so generous and gave me 2 ATC. Everyboday seems to have its own technique or style in creating cards.

I find these group of people are just so generous in sharing ideas and technique - chinese Cari forum (CARDMAKING自制卡片及工具分享区). They welcome you as a beginner and try to answer all your questions. As a beginner on any crafts, you will be lost, alot things you won't know unless to buy and try and try. It is great that there is someone there to guide you to prevent you going to the wrong path. Or even give you tips and where to buy crafty stuff that are cheaper in price. Or even the correct tool. I glad that I'm a part of this group.

I have some bad exprience in other forums where the group of person are no so friendly to answer question. They just ask you to go ahead and try first. Or go search online for answers. Or read thru that thousands of post before questioning. It really shows how our country education influence them : Not to question so much but to seach yourself! Such a sad thing.

Gold embossing Wedding Red Packets

I always wondering why people can create lovely effects cards and why not me?? I finally found the answer. They spend alot of money in tools. That's why.

Saw this heat gun at Craft Haven, 1- Utama 2 months ago. Was doing a promotion of RM88. Was wondering want to buy or not. Because if I buy the heat gun, I need to buy the Versa Mark, the embossing powders. Plus I need stamps so I can stamp a picture up and do embossing. I am so lack of stamps and if I buy stamps, clear stamp need clear blocks. And both stamps are not cheap. Just a headache to make decision. Decided to buy on my next visit as I'm going for vacations.

To cut the story short. I brought this Heat Gun at Stencil Works, 1-Utama (2nd floor, near the old wing cinema). The heat gun is RM89.50 because Craft Haven which is selling RM88 doesn't have stocks anymore. Stocks will be coming but not sure if it is RM88 anymore in a months time, according to the seller. Versa Mark Stamp ink pad RM28.50 is from Stencil Works too. The embossing powder (RM15.90) is from Craft Haven. I brought gold and clear powder. Should get the sliver one of my next visit.

Carved this wedding mouse and "Just married" stamps. The word is so small and it take me more then 3 hours to just carve this 2 stamps. Don't want to spend money in buying stamps are like that, need to be patience carving them. Plus they are unique.

These are wedding red packets (ang pow) for weddings. I have this idea because everytime when I attend a wedding, I always use those McDonalds or Coffee bean ang pow that is just not related to wedding. Those are actually chinese new year "ang pow". But because I didn't buy any wedding "ang pow". So I used them for all these while.

So these are for my next wedding dinner that I will be attending at Penang next month.

For the Red packet: I stamp it with Versa Mark inks and put the gold embossing powder and heat it with the heat gun. The powder will melts and form a shinning gold color. Beautiful.

Closer snap shot of the emboss "angpow". For the pink packet: I stamp it with Versa Craft ink and put with clear embosing powder and heat it again. But not very successful I guess. MAybe my ink dry off to quicky. They told me to use pigment ink, but I'm not sure Versa craft is pigment ink or not.
Embossing looks good in fine lines stamps too. This are some of my try out of those kawaii stamps with fine lines. But some the words melted together.

Heat Gun also works perfect for the popcorn pens. It pop's in like just 1 minute. Faster then my hair dryer alot.

TS seeing me so happy and busy using the heat gun, he came and join for a play on the popcorn pens.

Its fun playing with embossing. But I need to stock up more stamps or carve more stamps from now then.

Flower ATC

First time trying on Artist Trading Cards(ATC). Its small and easy to make. I enjoy making them from my existing scraps of papers, swap items that I got. Recycle those stuff and make something new. I did some cards with my handmade carve stamps too - the sakura of the bottom right of the image. This is a swap from a chinese cari forum.
