Merci + Lace Stamp

Can't understand why I was hook on these beautiful lace stamps.
I been collecting them from time to time. Maybe because I can't carve as detail as these.

The small match box stamps are one of my favorite stamps now. The stamps are carved in full detail and very small. I use the "Merci" (Thank you in French) rabbit stamp + lace stamp and stamp them in a small piece of "Thank you" card for my customer who have brought things from me. It makes a smile of my face and hope it brings my customers too :)

Goodbye my stamps

Saying goodbye for my handwork carve stamps... They can't be use anymore. There are sticked together and have chips and cracks here and there.

One think I learn on storing those carve rubber stamps are to layer a tissue within each rubber stamps. Plus do not use those soft rubber as it tends to melt and stick to another rubber.

So sad I have to throw them on to the bin... :(

Cute animals & zakka lace rubber stamps

I am thinking on using them at my next project.... These cute animals and zakka lace rubber stamps are just too cute, too beautiful.... I always wanted those lace line stamps, it seems to be something like those real lace where I can stamp on paper for card making and fabric for decorations.

If you want some of them, come and have a look on my shop. I have some more left.

Addicted to sewing bags

Let you see what I am doing recently. I am now addicted in sewing larger bags, such as shopping bag, tote bag and hand carry bags.... I guess I abit sick on sewing the same pattern of pencil case and cosmetic bags for my shop. I plan to finish them by end of the weekend so I can get some lovely picture on them. I'm still considering to join or not to join the pipit market event that is coming soon. Sometimes I hate to just rush and rush for an event, which makes me tension on crafting. Shall I join the event this coming July??

I was happy that recieved my Hero Arts and Penny Black stamps safely. The Penny Black stamps are so much detail in those lines. Not very sure if it is really good in stamping in fabric, but I think it will works fine in paper. I tried stamping the Hero Arts stamp on the fabric yesterday and it looks fine. But the ink kinda stain on my stamp. Do I need to buy a stamp cleaner to clearn it??
Today I receive some more clear stamps, flowers and brads from crafty heart. Happy days!

Heart Duckling

It's been quite a while that I didn't carve stamps. One day last week, I found a cute duckling picture from a ang pow (red packet). I made some adjustment to the duck by holding a heart instate of a pencil.

It took be an hour to finish her. And I found very exhausted carving her. Maybe my skills drop after such a long time never carve.

Seens I am stamping them at fabric, I stamp some other patterns to the fabric. I have ideas on my mind, just that I haven't have time to do it. Now I need to prepare my custom orders for the sakura pencil case.

Thinking of You

A card that I made last week for a friend at Penang.

Actually I promise to send her my handmade slice cake earings as a birthday gift. She came to visit me on her birthday during chinese new year, and I was bad that I forgotten about it until her boyfriend told me about it. Bad of me.

Thats why I decided to made another card for her. She loves design and craft things like these too. Just that she is to busy with her work and business.
I made this card from another handcarve girl stamps from Ivy - I just love her stamps. The background of the card is actually from a gift paper that I brought it someday ago. Added some lace, ribbon, rick rac, flowers, geams. I later added the red butterfly between and butterfly background and it looks cute. Not that empty I think.

I tried the lacey stamp for the first time and emboss with clear embossing powder. "Thinking of You" stamps, flower brads and flower ribbons from my ribbons slash.

Stationary that I brought at Singapore

Found these lovely lacely deco tape at Kinokuniya Singapore (Not sure there are available at Kino Malaysia). They are very detail and beautiful.

They look great on transparent box and plastic but it doesn't look that good on cards or paper, not sure why.
Got this lacely rose shape rubber stamp from A"n"BC Stationary at Raffles City. I tried on my card making at it looks great. No regret on buying it for SGD $15. The border stamps (SDG$5) and the arylic paint tube I got for Popular.

So much lacey such. Guess I just addicted somehow and influence more after reading Aileen blog.
Some blog and website that I enjoy today:
1. Fabric Labels Tutorial - Make your own fabric labels~~ cool
2.Paper-cut illustrations that I think there are amazing.
3. Upcycled Gift Wrap - wrap your gift using used paper/newspaper.
Continue cropping my images (for work)~~ 30 more to go....

Daiso @ IMM, Plaza Singapura

My last trip was a rush trip, so this time I have a chance to visit Diaso at IMM, Singapore. I heard my friends say it is very big compare to other outlet. Whats so great at Daiso is everything is SGD $2 per item.

It was 40 minutes train to IMM at Jurong East. Here is a picture I took from the train station. It is quite a large building. But I need to walk around 15 minutes to reach the mall.

This is the bus stop beside the train station. From the train station, you can see the path to walk to IMM mall.

The Jurong East Station itself is already very big and spaceious because it is an interchange.

It is monday and I am still wondering why is there so many people wondering around there. Daiso at IMM is really huge, but abit messy.
-Green rabbit fabric, those water proof type.
-khaki green fabric (I don't know why it looks brown at here)
-4 different types of cotton lace.... (this are my favorite stuff)
- pokka dots blue felts
- animal felt decorations in blue and pink
- fabric pen marker
- fabric button maker
- light weighted clay in pink
- white birdy cage
- pieces of wooden blocks (to stick my handcarve errasers on top)
- shrinking paper
- golden stickers
- small wooden clips.
- heart shape brads
A closer look on the bird cage.... love it.
Most of the item I got from IMM.
Except the shrinking paper, golden stickers and fabric button maker I got them at Plaze Singapura. Some are out of stocks and some I couldn't find them..... Sigh~~
Here is my previous post on my last visit at Daiso at Vivo City.

Christmas badges from my handcarve stamps. I have no time to carve more stamps (Initially planning to sell some handcarve stamps). But I would like people to own these beautiful handcarve stamps design. I stamped those stamps at fabric with versa craft stamp pads. Sew them with my pattern sewing machine (Finally have a chance to try them) on to felt pieces. Attach them at your bags, dress or even present for chirstmas.

Christmas card #2

Another creation of Christmas card that I sent to a friend from Taiwan to thank her for her Precious moments ATC gift that she sent. I use all from my handcarve stamps and do clear embossing. Couldn't see too well from this picture as I took them at night.Read more on my handmade christmas card #1 here.

Say it Stamps

Brought the day before I meet Agnes and Gianni. All Night Media Say it with Stamps. There are rubber stamps, just that there are mounted with foam and I need to stick the sticker myselfs to each individual stamps. 19 design for only RM45.90 at Art Friend, the Gardens. I think it is cheaper compare to rubber stamps or clear stamps.Paper stump per pack of 12 for RM3.50. I enjoy using them in the last Birdy ATC from a small gift from Geamys. Plus border corner punch for RM28.90. Still have a hard time controling it.

Clear stamps

These are what I brought from Debbie at her online shop - crafty heart last week. I always wanted to try on some clear stamps and she offers clear stamps for RM5.50 each. A good try on someone like me, just want to try on clear stamps and won't want to spend so much in the initial stage. I try all of the clear stamps and I can admit that some I couldn't carve those at my own. Too detail and fine lines.

The acrylic blocks 3 inch x 3 inch was just RM18. So cheap compare to craft shop selling out side. I bought some flowers too to try on my cards. And she was kind enough to sent me a pack of FREE ribbons. Thanks Debbie

Alphabet stamps and craft scissors

Abit over spend on craft materials this month. But I was glad that I found these. Craft scissors 8 small piece for RM19.90 at Popular Bookstore. Very cheap if compare to Carl craft scissors, RM13 per piece. Gilter Glue for RM6.90 for 3 bottles at Popular bookstore. I love these gilter glue. Before this I brought the smaller pack, but my silver and gold almost finish from my last crafty project.
Alphabet stamps, finally alphabet stamps. I found it at a big bookstore shop at Petaling Street. There is only capital letters, but I wanted lower case letters. It was cheaper then those selling on craft shop. Without hesitate I grab 2. The bigger set is RM20 and the smaller one is RM12.50. There have other sizes too and number too. I used them on my bird ATC that I did last week.

Continue buying more on stock cards and color paper. Plus I found the glue tape at Popular Bookstore. A set of glue tape and refiller at the price of RM10. And I brought Sakura Pen for RM3.60. I found it cheaper compare to craft stores. I love wondering at Popular, they offers reasonable price of stationary and material.

Precious Moment ATC

Got these lovely ATC + postcard + handcarve stamped paper from Ivy last friday. The Precious Moment stamps was just so lovely and very detail stamp. She added some of her handcarve stamped paper for me too. I can see how details her carving was and it will be a good learning curve for me.

Handmade Aprons

Last night, our laptop was broke and we can't online, which makes me have time to sew on this.

I cut the pattern out at monday. Took me 1 hour just to cut and understand the drawings on how to sew this (because it was from Cotton Time, a Japanese Magazine whic I have no idea what they are talking about). A hard time is guessing this and that. After cutting the fabrics, it was too late to sew. But yesterday I completed this for 2 hours.
Top of the apron, patch patterns of fabric. The right hand side looks like as if there is a flower brooch. I didn't notice it until the completion of the apron. The neck string is ajustable. The pockets just fit my hands. I even sew a handmade label carve and stamp by me. Looks more personalize.

After completion of the apron, I tried it myself. Looks perfect for me. I even force TS to try it on. The adjustable next string fits on anyone. Cool. He can use it when he is cooking then.

Chirstmas Card from Handcarve stamps

Long time didn't write for me and TS sponsor child. So I grab my pen and wrote a letter. In additional I have made these 2 card from the christmas handcarve stamps that I carve lately.

With just lack of stamps(because I didn't have any christmas theme stamps) and lack of pattern paper. I just decided to see how I can make something from just this few carve stamps that I have. Just too lazy to carve more Chirstmas stamps at that time. Here there are. The last red and green color paper I have. The red paper I already use up all to do red packets. The green background I hand stamp myself using versa mark inks, and I find it useful for creating background. The tree and the dear is gold embossed. I have added some craft punch snow flake with some glitter on the middle to the card too. Plus some ribbons and trim just to add some spice. "Merry Christmas" words are done using popcorn pens. Hope my child will like them.

I think I will made some Christmas card for sale this year. Anyone wants to buy, just drop me a message.

Many carved Stamps

Yesterday didn't went to stock take. Which means the whole day is mine. TS is sick and he need to work at home later at night, so we just hang around at home. I was in the mood on carving and I carve so much. I trace more then this but I just couldn't carve all of them. Too many.

I love the apples and the swan the most. The chirstmas stamps looks great too. Planing to do some greeting card for Chirstmas soon.

Below is the erraser that I use. You should be able to find them at some stationary stores at Malaysia.

a) & b): I love to use these both erraser to carve. They have the same texture and they are medium hard and easy to carve.
c): I never use before. So no comment on this. I guess should be the same as b)
d): Similar texture compare to a) & b), just a bit harder, with a larger width of erraser for larger width of stamps.
e): Medium hard erraser
f): Soft erraser. Easy to cut but too soft, sometimes will miss cut those fine lines.

To me: softer erraser is more easy to carve. Because you don't need too much enegry to carve them. It is not good in carving for fine lines. I prefer medium hard erraser. I don't use those branded erraser. I find cheap errasers are so suitable for stamp carving. I recomend to try on a) or b) erraser for beginners.

Gold embossing Wedding Red Packets

I always wondering why people can create lovely effects cards and why not me?? I finally found the answer. They spend alot of money in tools. That's why.

Saw this heat gun at Craft Haven, 1- Utama 2 months ago. Was doing a promotion of RM88. Was wondering want to buy or not. Because if I buy the heat gun, I need to buy the Versa Mark, the embossing powders. Plus I need stamps so I can stamp a picture up and do embossing. I am so lack of stamps and if I buy stamps, clear stamp need clear blocks. And both stamps are not cheap. Just a headache to make decision. Decided to buy on my next visit as I'm going for vacations.

To cut the story short. I brought this Heat Gun at Stencil Works, 1-Utama (2nd floor, near the old wing cinema). The heat gun is RM89.50 because Craft Haven which is selling RM88 doesn't have stocks anymore. Stocks will be coming but not sure if it is RM88 anymore in a months time, according to the seller. Versa Mark Stamp ink pad RM28.50 is from Stencil Works too. The embossing powder (RM15.90) is from Craft Haven. I brought gold and clear powder. Should get the sliver one of my next visit.

Carved this wedding mouse and "Just married" stamps. The word is so small and it take me more then 3 hours to just carve this 2 stamps. Don't want to spend money in buying stamps are like that, need to be patience carving them. Plus they are unique.

These are wedding red packets (ang pow) for weddings. I have this idea because everytime when I attend a wedding, I always use those McDonalds or Coffee bean ang pow that is just not related to wedding. Those are actually chinese new year "ang pow". But because I didn't buy any wedding "ang pow". So I used them for all these while.

So these are for my next wedding dinner that I will be attending at Penang next month.

For the Red packet: I stamp it with Versa Mark inks and put the gold embossing powder and heat it with the heat gun. The powder will melts and form a shinning gold color. Beautiful.

Closer snap shot of the emboss "angpow". For the pink packet: I stamp it with Versa Craft ink and put with clear embosing powder and heat it again. But not very successful I guess. MAybe my ink dry off to quicky. They told me to use pigment ink, but I'm not sure Versa craft is pigment ink or not.
Embossing looks good in fine lines stamps too. This are some of my try out of those kawaii stamps with fine lines. But some the words melted together.

Heat Gun also works perfect for the popcorn pens. It pop's in like just 1 minute. Faster then my hair dryer alot.

TS seeing me so happy and busy using the heat gun, he came and join for a play on the popcorn pens.

Its fun playing with embossing. But I need to stock up more stamps or carve more stamps from now then.
